Learnt my lesson

the hard way, and at the cost of one of my bunnies.

If you have bunnies, whether they are kept indoors or out doors, please get them vaccinated against myxomatosis.

My bunnies are indoor bunnies, and myxi was the last thing i thought they would get. So i never got them vaccinated.

When Atticus developed a gungy eye i thought he had been trying to fight again(he was a very boystrous bunny!) I realised what he had the next morning, when his eyes started to swell and his beautiful ears swelled.

There is no mistaking myxi.

All i needed was conformation from the vet. I knew there would be nothing the vet could do for him either.

So, i seperated the bunnies, fingers crossed for Gandalf, he has no signs….yet.

Atticus was taken to the vet on Tuesday afternoon, where i held him whilst he went to sleep for the last time.

Myxi is such a nasty disease, it really got Atticus bad.

If only……..

needless to say, my bunnies will from now on, be getting the vaccination.

Daddy Bear

My girls are not stupid! They have worked out that the best place to go to sleep is on Daddy’s chest. Snuggle up to that chest and you instantly feel warm, cosy and safe!..Its just not quite big enough for the 3 of us!

I have done…..stuff!

Pretty as a picture

After sitting down to create a digi layout, i ended up with a paper layout. I have come to the conclusion that however much i like some digi creations, it is not for me! I have to have the papers/cardstock in front of me….to be able to touch it….its important! That and the fact that creating a mess, along with the layout feels ‘right’!

So, this layout will be the first i have done of my girls!..They are 3 months old now, and i have only just managed a layout! *shocking*

 

This was a quickie, done whilst heavily pregnant, a page for my ‘bump’ book(which originally started out as a project inspired by the challenge of 12 months and 12 projects, the book is still going to be based on 12 months, it will not be running in real time however!!!

Another page i did a while ago….dedicated to my bump in March!

Dreadlock Care

This layout was done so long ago, i cant remember actually when i did it..or why exactly, but it is dedicated to the time and effort(and sometimes expense) that is put into caring for my dreadlocks!

I wanted to simply frame a photo i took of SummerMay with her Daddy, but simply framing it would never do…!

 

There, i have done stuff….not much in a long time, but stuff all the same!

If you are crazy about funky ribbon, ribbon that stands out from the crowd, then you really REALLY need to visit Volksfadan’ a Berlin based company!

And they are not over priced either! Shocker, seeing as all that is nice to buy usually comes with a not so nice price tag!!!

…..I can feel my shopping basket groaning already!

Its been a long long time…..

…..and you know what? I still havnt uploaded the layouts i have done! How slack is that?!!

I did get round to uploading a picture of my most recently finished mixed media canvas though….dedicated to the 3 most important men in my life!…

3 Space Cadets.

The twins have been keeping me busy….and awake! Far too often i find that i didnt go to bed the previous night….but still i keep going….must have those batteries in me..Duracell! The twins suffer from ‘startle reflex’, freaky stuff man! They go so over the top it actually scares me! Whenever i am changing them i have to cover them with a heavy blanket and hold them down. Poor things..bathing them is a nightmare, so i got one of those tummy tubs..

lol! check out the funky music!

Anyway, getting either of the girls in that is a complete nightmare too! So bathing them is done only when REALLY needed!!

And clothes..well im having a great time buying clothes! Check out these!

….Nordickids is the COOLEST shop for kiddy clothes, not to mention inspiration for arty endevours!!! I happily spend many a minute (and pound) in that shop! And the great thing with the leggings they sell is that they all fit over cloth nappies too!

Sorted.

Anyway i have a very constipated and grumpy little girl attached to me at the moment and she is getting wriggly, so ill leave you with a couple pics.

Sky-Lark (Moonunit) Purdy and Summer-May Purdy!!
Born 5 weeks early on 16 May weighing 4lb9oz and 4lb12oz.

I must admit, it was rough going for a while, esp having my babies taken away from me soon after birth to be placed in warmer cots and drip fed FORMULA milk!!!! So not only did i have to cope with not feeling like a mum for a few days, but my babies were being fed cows milk and chemicals!
[shudder]
Anyhoo, after self discharging myself and the twins 7 days later i started to feel like a mum.
How can anyone try to say that formula milk is better for your child??!!
Here they are...my beautiful princesses.

(oh, i have scrapped...quite a bit, but havnt got round to uploading...for some reason there is always summat else to do lately!!!

Just about finished another mixed media canvas, which i hope to get uploaded tommorow.
For now, im sat here, 31 weeks pregnant with twins and ankles which if they get any bigger will prevent me from wearing any type of footwear!!...Best i take some advice and get my sorry butt to bed!!

Im uploading!!!
Fancied a change to my blog too! Although what i really wanted to do was to change the skin, but that proved far too much for my poor pregnant head to comprehend!!! So, unless any offers of help flood in, this will have to do for now:-)
